Blount County Historical Society Meeting—-April 23
The Blount County Historical Society members will meet at the Blount County Memorial Museum on Sunday April 23 at 2 p.m. The guest speaker will be Mr. Charles W. Holmes from the Alabama Humanities Alliance. He will announce the exciting news about the upcoming Smithsonian traveling “CROSSROADS” display. It will be coming to Blount County in September of this year.

The Blount County Master Gardeners’ Fall Conference will be Thur. Oct. 12 at the Locust Fork Baptist Church. Registration will be from 8:a.m. to 8:45. Snead Town Chili Cook – Off Sat. Oct. 28th- 9 A.M.
Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you.
