Blue Grass Summer Nights June 14th
The Blountsville Historical Society will host Bluegrass Summer Nights beginning Friday June 14th. Jamming begins at 4 til dark thirty. Open stage 5-5:45. The intertnational Sacred Harp Singers will take the stage from 6-6:45 and the group Heartfelt Harmony will take it out from 7:00 to 8:00 . This event will take place at the Blountsville Historical Park located (2 miles north of the traffic light on 231 north).
This is an exceptional event as this is the International Convention held in B’ham this year. The sacred harp singers choose to come to B’ville as a part of their convention. This could be a once in a life time event and will certainly be unique.
Similar events will take place the 2nd Friday of each month at the Blountsville Historical Park .This event is free- donations accepted.

Successful Aging Initiative June 7th
The Alabama A.M. & Auburn Universities Extension Offices invite you to attend a series of classes designed to help older adults maintain their quality of life. On June 7th the class will cover Preparing Estates.These classes are recommended for anyone 60 and older and will be taught at the Oneonta Senior Center located at 101 1st. St. So.beginning at 9.am. Oneonta Business Association will host the 21st Annual June Fling on June 9th 7-9 in Historical Downtown Oneonta. Vendor registrations starts Jan. 1st 2023. City Market of Oneonta has quickly become one of Oneonta’s most anticipated events! Our local artisanal food market * is scheduled for the following dates: Sat. June 17th, 6-9 p.m.-Sat. July 15th, 6-9 p.m.–Sat. Aug. 19th, 6-9 p.m. and Sat., September 16th, 6-9 p.m. City Market of Oneonta offers local farmers, specialty food vendors and makers of artisanal items the opportunity to show off! There will be between 25 & 30 entrepreneurs downtown by the gazebo . In case of rain the event will be inside the Oneonta Rec. Gym.
