The Alabama Humanities Alliance is bringing the Crossroads: Change in Rural American Smithsonian traveling exhibit to five communities across Alabama. Blount County will be the first stop. Sept. 12th through October 28th, 2023 the public will be able to enjoy the exhibit at the Blount County Schools Professionals Development Center located at 62541 U.S. U.S. Hwy. 231, Cleveland, Alabama 35049. Snead Town Chili Cook – Off Sat. Oct. 28th- 9 A.M.
Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you.
