E.L. & Pauline D. Kilgore Lyceum Presents Jim Connor, Blue Grass Musician
Mr. Jim Connor, a member of the Alabama Blue Grass Hall of Fame, will perform March 16, 2021 at Oneonta High School’s Eris Horton Auditorium. The 10 a.m. and the 11 a.m. performance will be for students with a few seats available to the public. The 5:30 p.m. performance will be for the general public. All performances are free. Social distancing applies, and don’t forget to bring your mask.
Mr. Connor plays varied musical styles but proclaims traditional mountain music to be his favorite. Mr. Connor has performed in all fifty states and sixty-eight foreign countries.
The alternate date in the case of severe weather is March 18, 2021.

The Alabama Extension Office invites you to attend a series of classes on Successful Aging. On April 5th the class is designed to help you prevent falls and will take place at the Oneonta Senior Center located at 101 1st Street . The Blount County Master Gardeners will hold their annual plant sale on April 22 ,2023 at the Blount County Agri-Business Center 8-a.m. to 12 p.m. or until sold out.
Back Road Park & Event Venue-Gospel Concert
The Backroad Park & Event Venue will host a Gospel Singing on Sunday April 23, 2023. Gates will open at 11 and music starts at noon. The Nelsons and the Perry’s will be the featured guest.
