Fire Tower Grand Opening
Please join the Blount County Commission and local officials as we celebrate the grand opening of the restored fire tower at Palisades Park. The commission has worked very hard to keep this piece of history intact and we are so excited to see it open!
Grand Opening: Saturday, July 7th at 1:00 PM. All are welcome to attend. After, the fire tower will be open to the public and a permit can be obtained from the park office.

Snead Town Chili Cook – Off Sat. Oct. 28th- 9 A.M.
Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you.
