FLFR White Water Races Sat. & Sun. April 6 & 7th
White Water Races will take place at King’s Bend, between Cleveland and Blountsville on Hwy. 231. Enjoy on of the largest eco-friendly tourist attractions that takes place in Blount County. Â Boaters in canoes & Kayaks race the clock as they negotiate a 1/4 mile course of slalom gates. $3.00 per person each day. Jr. High and younger free. Â $5.00 to camp includes entry fee. Snead Town Chili Cook – Off Sat. Oct. 28th- 9 A.M.
Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you.
