ILMC Back To School Bash 2018
Anchors Church is excited to help kids going into Kindergarten – 5th grade have the BEST school experience possible. Each child registered for its Back to School Bash will get to pick out their backpack and fill it with their choice of basic school supply needs!
They are going to provide these free items for 150 kids! They believe they can help the ones that need it most, feel like the ones that don’t.

Successful Aging Initiative June 7th
The Alabama A.M. & Auburn Universities Extension Offices invite you to attend a series of classes designed to help older adults maintain their quality of life. On June 7th the class will cover Preparing Estates.These classes are recommended for anyone 60 and older and will be taught at the Oneonta Senior Center located at 101 1st. St. So.beginning at 9.am. 21st Annual June Fling—–June 9 & 10th
Oneonta Business Association will host the 21st Annual June Fling on June 9th 7-9 in Historical Downtown Oneonta. Vendor registrations starts Jan. 1st 2023. On June 9th from 7-9 the Sweet Tea Trio will preform. Sat. June 10th from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. enjoy Vendors/Food trucks /Kids’s Zone/Cruise -In & Entertainment. Kids’ Day on the River — June 10th

City Night Market —- Sat. June 17th
City Market of Oneonta has quickly become one of Oneonta’s most anticipated events! Our local artisanal food market * is scheduled for the following dates: Sat. June 17th, 6-9 p.m.-Sat. July 15th, 6-9 p.m.–Sat. Aug. 19th, 6-9 p.m. and Sat., September 16th, 6-9 p.m. City Market of Oneonta offers local farmers, specialty food vendors and makers of artisanal items the opportunity to show off! There will be between 25 & 30 entrepreneurs downtown by the gazebo . In case of rain the event will be inside the Oneonta Rec. Gym. Summer Kick Off -Palisades Park Tues., June 20th

The Safety Amateur Radio Group of Blount County will host the annual Amateur Radio Field Day on Sat. June 24th from Noon until dark at 727 Mountain Brow Drive , Oneonta. This will be a great opportunity for some radio fun and fellowship and a chance to develope and showcase our ham radio abilities. This event is open to evryone in the club, friends and family. And anyone interested in amateur radio. Great location high atop Straight Mountain with great radio access to the world.
