The Oneonta Aquatic Center will have a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on Friday May 28th at noon. The Aquatic center will open on Sat. May 28th.

Operation Grateful Heart Blount County and Vietnam Veteran Donnie Jackson will sponsor the Blount County Memorial Day Service on Sat. May 28th. The service will begin at 10 a.m. on the Blount County Courthouse steps located at 220 2nd Ave. East Oneonta. FLFR are hosting a Memorial Day Concert on May 28th at Hickory Hall located at 249 Taylor Bottoms, Blountsville, Al. This event will be from 1-6 p.m. The feature band will be KINGFISH also appearing :Orange Bunny. Admission $5 for Children, $15 for adults,$40.00 Family Unit Cap. (Cash Only). Admission will include the afternoon meal of Authenic Mexican food with vegetarian and gluten free options.

The Blount – Oneonta Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the Flag Day Picnic on Tuesday June 14th at the Blountsville Historical Park from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. . Live music by the Possum Pickers will help us celebrate Summer in Blount County. A great BBQ dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.     Tickets are $15.00 and will be limited to 100 people.
