Leadership Blount County Class Jan. 16th
Leadership Blount County will begin on Thursday Jan. 16th  and meet every third Thursday through June. This class brings together leaders from a wide diversity of backgrounds. Through monthly seminars participants learn more about our community and come to understand one another and are encouraged to engage for the betterment of the community and it’s people.

Blount County Master Gardeners’ Fall Conference—Oct. 12 2023
The Blount County Master Gardeners’ Fall Conference will be Thur. Oct. 12 at the Locust Fork Baptist Church. Registration will be from 8:a.m. to 8:45. Opening session 8:45 a.m. The cost will be $35.00, including lunch & snacks. The Locust Fork Baptist Church is located at 30580Â AL-79 in Locust Fork. 39th Annual Covered Bridge Festival—–Oct. 14

Snead Town Chili Cook – Off Sat. Oct. 28th- 9 A.M.
Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you.
