Blount County Palisades Park offers scenic views atop Ebell Mountain. Since 1973 Palisades Park has drawn and delighted visitors. The newest feature is the restored Fire Tower. We’ll wander the mountain, then climb the 133 steps of the Sand Mountain Lookout Fire Tower inside the park. You’ll see the majority of Blount County a nd -on a clear day-parts of ST. Clair, Etowah, Cullman,and Jefferson Counties. This event is free. Join us for woods hiking,climbing,’oohing and aaahing’ and fellowship. From Palisades Park you will be a 5 min. drive from the new and attractive stores and resturants downtown Oneonta. Spooks At The Park! — Sat. Oct. 30th
Celebrate Halloween at the Blountsville Historical Park on Sat. Oct. 30th. Spooks at the park will began at DUSK (5-7). Visit the Haunted Cabins, share in trick or treating , pumpkin carving & apple bobbing. The Blountsville Historical Park is located North of Blountsville on Hwy. 231.

One of the biggest and best attended Christmas parades will take place Tuesday Dec. 7th at 7 p.m. The parade route will follow State Highway 75 No. to Ace Hardware. Come early to get a good vantage spot. Many restaurants will be ready to serve you. More info to follow.
