The Blount County Master Gardeners’ Fall Conference will be Thur. Oct. 12 at the Locust Fork Baptist Church. Registration will be from 8:a.m. to 8:45. Opening session 8:45 a.m. The cost will be $35.00, including lunch & snacks. The Locust Fork Baptist Church is located at 30580  AL-79 in Locust Fork. The Blount County Quilters Guild invite you to attend the Annual Quilt Show on Oct. 13th & 14th , 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. .This event will take place at the Quilters Guild Cottage at Palisades Park.

Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual  T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you. The Town of Snead invites you to the Fun Family Fall Festival . This event is Sat. Oct. 28th 11-3 at the Snead Town Park. There will be a Classic Car Cruise In , Kids games and inflatables. Lots of Fun for all!!!
