Snead State Founders Day Festival & Pageant Aug. 19, 2023
Snead State Community College will host the Founders Day Festival & Pageant Saturday, August 19, 2023. The pageant will be from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. at Fielder Auditorium . The entry fee:$25.00. The festival will began at 4P.M. behind Story Administration Bldg. at 220 North Walnut Street ,Boaz.
There will be two Pageant Divisions: High School (Juniors & Seniors) and Snead State Students. Prizes will include Snead State scholarship for winners and runners – up. For Pageant Registration, Event Information or a Schedule of Activities, Visit Snead .Edu/Â Foundersday.
The Festival Features an Opening Ceremony, Live Entertainment, Food Trucks, Festival Vendors, A Kids Corner and Fireworks! Admission is free!!

Snead Town Chili Cook – Off Sat. Oct. 28th- 9 A.M.
Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you.
