The 38th Annual Covered Bridge Festival – Oct. 8th

Please join the Blountsville Library on Sept. 28th  at 6:30 p.m. for An Evening with John Archibald. Tickets are $20.00 each or $38.00 per couple and must be bought in advance. Will not be sold at the door.

The Blount County Solar Home Tour will be Oct. 7th & 8th. Please join us for an educational tour of 5 solar powered homes in Blount County. Registration is required and will open two weeks prior to the event. More info can be found at solartouralabama.wordpress.com.

The Blount County Master Gardeners’ Fall Conference will be Thur. Oct. 12 at the Locust Fork Baptist Church. Registration will be from 8:a.m. to 8:45. Opening session 8:45 a.m. The cost will be $35.00, including lunch & snacks. The Locust Fork Baptist Church is located at 30580  AL-79 in Locust Fork. The Blount County Quilters Guild invite you to attend the Annual Quilt Show on Oct. 13th & 14th , 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. .This event will take place at the Quilters Guild Cottage at Palisades Park.

Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual  T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you. The Town of Snead invites you to the Fun Family Fall Festival . This event is Sat. Oct. 28th 11-3 at the Snead Town Park. There will be a Classic Car Cruise In , Kids games and inflatables. Lots of Fun for all!!!
