Time to Eat Y’all cookbook signing. Thursday Sept. 5th.
Danna Standridge was commissioned by the Alabama Bicentennial Commission to write this cookbook to Celebrate the Heritage of Sweet Home Alabama. This book does just that with a special touch featuring some of Blount County’s best cooks.  Other receipes  and their history were submitted by members of your Alabama State Legislature.  Danna will be at the Little Brick Church in downtown Oneonta to sign your books and talk about her wonderful experiences while putting this book together. The books will sell for $20.00 each.  SAVE THE DATE: Thursday Sept. 5th 4:30 to 6:30.  The proceeds will go to supporting the preservation of the Alabama State Capital.

Snead Town Chili Cook – Off Sat. Oct. 28th- 9 A.M.
Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you.
