The 27th Annual Locust Fork Classic Canoe and Kayak race will be Saturday,April 2nd , and Sun , April 3, beginning at 9 a.m.,at King’s Bend in Cleveland. Sponsored by Friends of the Locust Fork River, this is the last of two races that comprise the Alabama Cup competition. The race is open to the public for viewing, participation, or volunteering. Snead Town Chili Cook – Off Sat. Oct. 28th- 9 A.M.
Peppy the Hot Pepper wants you to be a part of the Snead Town Chili Cook-Off. This event will be Sat. Oct. 28th, starting at 9 a.m. at the Snead Park. Entry Fee is $10.00! Deadline to enter is Oct. 7th. You’ll get a 1st Annual T-Shirt, covered area to work under, tables to use and serving bowls for the judges. Contest is open to all ages, but if you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian with you.
