Young Ambassadors Program
The Young Ambassadors Program is an exciting initiative from the Blount-Oneonta Chamber of Commerce that offers college-aged individuals (18–25) a unique opportunity to get involved in the community, gain valuable experience, and build professional connections.
As a Young Ambassador, you’ll support the Chamber at events throughout the year while helping to promote Blount County as a vibrant place to live, work, and visit. This volunteer-based program is ideal for those looking to develop leadership skills, enhance their resumes, and expand their professional network.
No prior experience is required—just a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to contribute! Participation in this program stands out on college transfer applications and resumes, making it a great stepping stone for future career opportunities.
Young Professionals
The Blount-Oneonta Chamber of Commerce is excited to sponsor the Blount County Young Professionals Organization (YPO)—a new initiative designed to empower and connect the next generation of leaders in our community.
The YPO provides young professionals with opportunities for networking, professional development, and community involvement, fostering meaningful connections and career growth within Blount County’s business landscape.
Through engaging lunch-and-learn programs, guest speakers, and potential evening events, members will gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities young professionals face today. Additionally, the YPO encourages civic engagement by introducing members to local initiatives and volunteer opportunities, strengthening their ties to the community.
We are especially proud of the many young professionals who graduated from Blount County or Oneonta City Schools and chose to build their careers right here at home. Whether you’re launching a new business, growing your career, or looking to expand your network, the YPO is the perfect place to connect, learn, and thrive.
Membership is open to anyone in their mid-40s or younger—no Chamber membership required, though we’d love for you to join!
